Did you know that Self-Esteem in children is determined by the age of 5?and that our creativity rapidly declines with our move into fears, judgment and into adulthood?
Nurturing Creativity in Children is as essential as ABC's So why not consider a Creativity Camp this summer for the entire family!
On Creativity Camps for Children and Parents (Boston & South Africa)
Yesterday my young friend, Noel came over to work with me in the kitchen What fun and what creativity in cake decorating! As I prepare to teach at this year's Creative Problem Solving Institute Conference in Boston and the ACRE Education Conference in South Africa, I think of the courses I have taught to young women that link the tribal rituals of the kitchen to both creativity and self-esteem. Last year I was honored to be asked to work with the girls at the Oprah Winfrey School in South Africa. I can't wait for that opportunity , perhaps when I'm back teaching at the educational conference in October. www.sacreativity.com
Back in the U.S. I also enjoyed hosting "Teddy Bear Teas". Amazing what you can learn about children through the conversation with their bears!
Consider a Creativity Camp for your Children this summer. There's one coming up this June that I can highly recommend in Boston, Mass and as a Parent you can nurture your creativity too.
www.cpsiconference.com. Last year I taught the girls and boys "Go Wild! Safari Skills" linked to my book "Go Wild! Survival Skills for Business and Life". Each day of the program I saw immense creativity in action with an expert world faculty specializing in creative education.
If you are really in for a creative family adventure and safari, of course consider joining me in South Africa this October www.sacreativity.com.
On Creative, Volunteer Retreats in Costa Rica
When I first moved to Costa Rica, my approach to learning Spanish was teaching a cooking class to abused young girls that were cared for by a group of Catholic Sisters. The girls were the best teachers of spanish , love and life I have ever had! They also taught me the critical skill of handling 15 talking girls at one time. Not Easy! I also learned how volunteering can be an incredible educational and travel experience of a lifetime for the entire family.
If you are visiting Costa Rica, consider volunteerism as part of your itinerary. I'll be happy to connect you and your family!
Go Wild! Go GREAT!
